Any student residing in Fort Worth ISD is eligible to apply to the charter schools listed below, though this list is not exhaustive. Some charter schools also allow students outside of the district to apply, but priority may be given to those residing within the district. Most charter schools operate on a lottery system. This means that the school uses a random selection process to pick its students. If your child is on a charter school’s waiting list, it may help to follow up with the school to let the school know that you are interested in getting off the waiting list if space becomes available.
While many applications can be submitted online, the process depends on the school. In addition, some schools require supplemental documents or an interview/audition. Visit each of the school’s websites to learn more about current deadlines and application procedures.
