The privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) made available by Children at Risk, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (“Children at Risk,” “we,” or “us”), explains the online information practices of Children at Risk regarding the collection of data from you as part of the normal operation of its websites (each a “Website” and, together, the “Websites”). This Privacy Policy also explains how we use or disclose this information.
IMPORTANT NOTE: By accessing, using, or viewing any Website, you expressly consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information under the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of each Website. People who visit a Website are referred to as “Visitors.”

1. Collection and Use of Information
Even if you only browse through a Website and read the information contained on the web pages, Children at Risk will gather certain information about your visit automatically. This information does not identify you personally, but may, for example, reflect how you found or were directed to or used the Website. Each Website automatically gathers your IP address when you use any portion of the Website. It also may collect the name and URL of the Website that you visited immediately before your visit to the Website. Children at Risk may use this type of non-personal information on a cumulative basis to better understand what pages Visitors and prospective participants access or visit, and Children at Risk may disclose this information to business and trade partners as well as companies affiliated with Children at Risk.
This privacy policy also relates to our collection and use of any personal information through your use of any of our Websites and any personal information that you provide to us through email. We explain in this policy what information we collect about you through your use of any Website and how we use that information. When you participate in, access or sign up to any of our services, activities or online content, such as class information, email publications, blogs, e-newsletters, competitions, event invitations, calls-to-action for campaigns, or message boards, we may receive personal information about you. This may consist of contact information (e.g., name, email address, physical address, and telephone number) but may also include other personally identifiable information. We will use your personal information for a number of purposes which include, responding to your requests for information or e-newsletters, adding your details to our list of persons who receive e-newsletters and providing these to you on a regular basis. We will also compile data based on responses received from Visitors to the Websites in order to allow us to analyze the experience of Visitors so that we can improve the services that we currently offer and predict future services that we may consider offering. The data which we compile from responses received from Visitors may also be shared with third party service providers, but the information shared includes no personally identifiable information. If you provide Children at Risk with your email address or other personal information, except for Children at Risk’s marketing purposes or as set forth in this Section 1, we do not use such email address or other personal information to send you commercial or marketing messages without your consent. However, by providing us with your email address or by sending us an email inquiry, your consent will be implied for Children at Risk to use your contact information not only to respond to your request(s) for information but also contact you about available products or services and provide you with advertising and other promotional material connected with Children at Risk that we think may interest you, including (but not limited to) e-newsletters and class information. In addition to these marketing purposes, we may use your name and email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major updates, service needs, or items for which you have requested communication).
In addition, we may collect information such as name, phone number, email address, and desired position from Visitors to the “Jobs and Internships” page of the Websites (“Applicants”). We also collect information contained on resumes voluntarily uploaded or sent by Applicants, as well as any information or documentation sent to Children at Risk via any of the email addresses listed on job postings within the “Jobs and Internships” page.
From time to time, Children at Risk may host or sponsor certain events, some of which may be listed on our “Events” page (“Events”). In connection with such Events, Children at Risk may collect information such as name, email address, age, and phone number
We may use certain third party payment processors (“Payment Processors”) to process personal financial information such as name, phone number, address, zip code, and credit card or bank account information for the purposes of allowing Visitors or Volunteers (as defined in the Terms) to purchase various items via the Websites or to make a donation to our organization’s fundraising efforts (collectively, the “Payment Transactions”). This information is provided directly to such Payment Processors by Visitors and Volunteers, and Children at Risk does not store this information on its servers or computer systems (with the exception of individual Visitors and Volunteers who consent to disclosure of the amount of a donation and/or the name(s) of the donor party). Such information is used solely for the purpose of allowing Visitors and Volunteers to make Payment Transactions.
We may collect certain personal information from Visitors who are interested in registering for any of the classes listed on our “Find a Class” page (the “Registrants”). We may share such information with the third party organizations managing or providing such classes (the “Class Providers”) for the purpose of registering or providing information to Registrants for the classes and services they have requested.
2.Children’s Information Policy
We do not knowingly solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. If we are made aware we have collected personal information from a child under 13 years old in a manner that is inconsistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of the United States, then we will delete this information as soon as practicable.
3.Cookies Policy
When you visit a Website, Children at Risk may place one or more “cookies” on your computer. These are small text files that contain information that allows Children at Risk to identify your computer or browser. They allow websites to store information such as user preferences. We use cookies for the following purposes:
Identify you when you access, visit, or log-in to a Website. This enables you to re-visit a Website without having to re-enter information upon each visit.
To note the different areas of the Websites which have recently been accessed through your computer. Information collected in this way is used to develop and manage the online services of Children at Risk by, for example, storing information about your preferences so as to enable Children at Risk to customize the Websites according to your individual interests.
Delivering content on the Websites which is relevant to your individual interests.
Monitoring the effectiveness of our marketing or fundraising campaigns.
Tracking your entries, submissions, and status in promotions, sweepstakes, and contests.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Children at Risk will request that its suppliers of web related services and any other services provided via the Websites observe the restrictions set forth in this Section 4. However, Children at Risk makes no representations or warranties about the acts or omissions of such suppliers.
5.Sharing Information
Children at Risk and its licensors own the code, databases, and all rights to the Websites and any feedback you provide. As between you and Children at Risk, you retain all rights to personal information you provide to Children at Risk through the Websites; provided that if you incorporate into feedback any User Content, you hereby grant Children at Risk a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free,

There are certain other exceptions when Children at Risk may provide your contact information to third parties:

- where otherwise required by applicable laws or government requirements;
- if it is necessary to investigate, prevent or take action with regard to a violation of the Websites, the Terms, or to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Websites;
- if it is necessary to protect the rights and property of Children at Risk; and
- in the event of a Transfer, as set forth in the section below.

If we make substantial changes to this Privacy Policy, we will endeavor to notify you of such changes (e.g., by email or an alert on the Websites for a period of time). However, regularly reviewing this page is the best method to ensure you are always aware of the information Children at Risk collects, how it is used and under what circumstances.
